DESCRIPTION:The Stix Icehouse Trail Volunteer Work Day\nThe Stix Icehouse Trail \nThe McKinney Parks Foundation is partnering with The Stix Icehouse to work on trail which is near the Wilson Creek Trail from Towne Lake Park. We are also uncovering the Interurban Railway that ran from Dallas to Sherman from around 1910 to 1940. \nMcKinney Parks Foundation is a 501c3 dedicated to enhancing outdoor community spaces available to the public\, educating and guiding the publics knowledge of the outdoors\, and bringing people and nature together. \nWhere: The Stix Icehouse\, 301 Eldorado Parkway\, McKinney\, TX 75069 United States \nWhen: Saturday\, January 14th from 8-11 AM \nParking is available on site. \nWhat to bring: bring a signed waiver\, click here to fill out and print. Gloves\, closed-toe shoes\, long sleeves\, water bottle. \nWhat we will be doing: Cutting and scraping ground to break in trail. This includes moving brush\, branches\, overgrowth and moving earth. Potentially waymarking the path. \nPlease arrive about 10 minutes early for a safety orientation\, waiver sign in\, and team assignments. \nVolunteers can earn service hours for their school group\, troop\, or club. See a member of the McKinney Parks Foundation to have your volunteer forms signed at the event. \n  \nPlease RSVP so we know you’ll be there.

We are seeking funds for tools\, equipment\, plants/trees\, landscape supplies\, educational materials\, matching grants and administrative costs. \n  \nDonation levels include: \n\n\n\nFriends of the McKinney Parks Foundation\, $100.00 \nSupporters of the McKinney Parks Foundation\, $500 + \nSponsors of the McKinney Parks Foundation\, $1\,000 + \nDonations-in-kind will also be accepted. These can be tools or materials\, refreshments for Trail Crews\, administrative help\, or other professional services. \nAny monetary donation will be appreciated and put to good use. \nConsider donating items from our Amazon Wishlist. \nPlease note\, this event is not a volunteer event.
