Tools available will include weed whackers\, backpack blowers\, loppers\, shovels\, etc. To use power tools\, you’ll have to complete MPF Safety Orientation. Click here to view the regulations. \nWhat to bring: Print the volunteer waiver and bring it with you. Participants under age 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form. You will also need to have your own work gloves. Bring bug spray\, sunscreen\, and water. Protective eye wear is recommended if you plan to be cutting branches or operating some of the cutting tools. If you bring your own tools\, please have them marked as such so we know they are yours. \nWhat do I wear: Long pants\, long sleeves\, and closed toed shoes or boots. DESCRIPTION:Garden Ready Workday\nWhere: The East McKinney Learning Garden located at 704 Greenville Rd\, McKinney\, TX 75069\, just off of TUPPS Brewery. \nWhen: Saturday\, March 8th\, 8 am – 11 am \nWhat we will be doing: The East McKinney Learning Garden is preparing for opening and will need beds filled with soil and other readying tasks. \nWhat to bring: Print the volunteer waiver and bring it with you. Participants under age 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form. You will also need to have your own work gloves. Bring sunscreen and water. If you bring your own tools\, please have them marked as such so we know they are yours. \nWhat do I wear: Garden appropriate wear and closed toed shoes/boots. Sunscreen is recommended.  Please dress appropriately for the weather. \nPlease arrive at least 10 minutes early for waiver sign-in and team assignments. \nVolunteers can earn service hours for their school group\, troop\, or club. See a member of the East McKinney Learning Garden to have your volunteer forms signed at the event. \nPlease RSVP to let us know you’ll be there.
