DESCRIPTION:Where: The East McKinney Learning Garden located at 704 Greenville Rd\, McKinney\, TX 75069\, just off of TUPPS Brewery. \nWhen: Thursday\, July 16th\, 8AM-11AM \nWhat we will be doing:  Join us at McKinney’s largest community garden to help prepare beds for staining\, installing vegetable grids\, and getting the beds ready for the next season. \nWhat to bring: We recommend bringing work gloves\, a water bottle\, and sunscreen. \nWhat do I wear: Garden appropriate wear and closed-toe shoes/boots. Sunscreen is recommended. Please dress appropriately for the weather. \nPlease arrive at least 10 minutes early for waiver sign-in and team assignments. \nVolunteers can earn service hours for their school group\, troop\, or club. See a member of the East McKinney Learning Garden to have your volunteer forms signed at the event.

DESCRIPTION:Where: McKinney Greens Park\, 798 Stewart Rd McKinney\, TX 75069 United States \nWhen: Saturday\, July 18th\, 2026\, 8am – 11am \nWhat we will be doing: We’ll be clearing the trail\, clearing areas around planted trees\, performing trash pickup\, removing fallen debris and trash on trails\, removing stumps\, marking potential dangers along the nature path\, and applying trail markings. Tools available will include weed whackers\, backpack blowers\, loppers\, shovels\, etc. To use power tools\, you’ll have to complete MPF Safety Orientation. Click here to view the regulations. \nWhat to bring: Print the volunteer waiver and bring it with you. Participants under age 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form. You will also need to have your own work gloves. Bring bug spray\, sunscreen\, and water. Protective eye wear is recommended if you plan to be cutting branches or operating some of the cutting tools. If you bring your own tools\, please have them marked as such so we know they are yours. \nWhat do I wear: Long pants\, long sleeves\, and closed toed shoes or boots. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.  Please dress appropriately for the weather. Please do not wear leggings\, shorts\, or other thin material which is not protective on your body. \nPlease arrive at least 10 minutes early for waiver sign-in and team assignments.
