East McKinney Learning Garden Volunteer Opportunity

Where: 402 E Louisiana St Building 2, McKinney, TX 75069
When: Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, 8am – 11am
What we will be doing: We’ll be working to complete the East McKinney Learning Garden border using old railway lines! We’ll need the help of volunteers to move dirt and supplies to assist our crew!
What to bring: Print the volunteer waiver and bring it with you. Participants under age 18 need to have a guardian or parent sign the form. You will also need to have your own work gloves. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and water.
What do I wear: Long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toe shoes or boots. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Please do not wear leggings, shorts, or other thin material that is not protective on your body.
Parking can be found in the TUPPS Parking Lot.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for waiver sign-in and team assignments.
Volunteer workdays are open to all members of the public. Volunteers can earn service hours for their school group, troop, or club. See a member of the McKinney Parks Foundation to have your volunteer forms signed at the end of the event.
