If you’re looking for an opportunity to volunteer at a McKinney Park with your group, business, or organization, contact McKinney Parks Foundation president at mckinneyparksfoundation@gmail.com to schedule your individual volunteer day. This would include individual projects including birdhouse, bug boxes, board walk, trail maintenance, and litter pick up.
As of 2023, the McKinney Parks Foundation volunteers include:
- Individual Volunteers
- Service Leagues
- Church or Religious Affiliation Groups
- Corporate Groups
- Scouts
- Community Service
We are looking to create a league of volunteers to specifically become Trail Team Leads. These designated Trail Team Leads would be familiar with trail systems at McKinney parks, able to regularly attend volunteer workdays and board meetings, familiar with MPFs goals and safety practices, and able to manage people and time along their trail while guiding volunteers to complete assigned tasks.
Volunteers can earn service hours. A board member can sign off on hours earned at the end of each event.
